Twelve miles of hiking trails traverse the rugged terrain of this park’s 2,456 acres, including the strenuous out-and-back Profile Trail where hikers are rewarded with this famous view of the Grandfather Profile. Named a United Nations biosphere reserve, the park’s diverse habitats shelter more than 70 rare or endangered species.
